German cockroaches are indoor cockroaches and they are spread across the world. They are usually light brown or tan color with two black horizontal stripes found immediately behind the head. The adolescence German roach are darker in color, also with the black stripes behind the head.
Behavior, Diet & Habits
Most commonly found indoors, but they are capable of living outdoors in warm tropical climates as well. They can be found in warmer and more humid areas of your home. More often found in kitchens and bathrooms, if food and moisture are available they can move to other areas of your home.
German cockroaches are usually brought into your home when brining in bags, boxes or cardboard. Be careful bringing in used appliances as they may host German roaches and are a good way to infest your home. German cockroaches can easily move between multi-unit dwellings through shared plumbing and pipes as a highway.
